Casually Cool! and Truly Trudy now on
WITH SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE CAST MEMBER
NKY Films has announced the launch of two new locally produced feature comedies, Casually Cool! and Truly Trudy, both set to shoot in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.
These productions will spotlight homegrown talent while aiming for national distribution on both theater screens and streaming platforms.
Joining the creative team is Saturday Night Live alum Gary Kroeger (1982–1985), who will serve as both producer and on-screen talent.
Both films are being grassroots funded through brand partnerships with local businesses. Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky companies will be featured directly on screen either through product placement, logo visibility, and/or location shoots, highlighting our region while offering unique advertising opportunities.
“People don’t have to move to New York, Atlanta, or Hollywood to make films,” said Ricky Glore, co-founder of NKY Films. “We’re proving that Greater Cincinnati can build cinema right here, and we want local businesses to be part of that story.”
Casually Cool! and Truly Trudy are being developed with plans for regional festival submissions, a Cincinnati-area red carpet premiere, and wider distribution through streaming platforms, bringing locally made movies to a global audience.
The films are produced by Ricky Glore, Nick Hiance (NKY Films); Amy Hassebrock, Jana Haney (Mediatrix Films); Gary Kroeger; Riley Bartolomeo; and Nathan Ward.
